Come in to this secret world on the River Yonne, where water flows by and the days are serene.

The Moulin de Toussac is an old flour mill which has been transformed into a very special living space. It is located in the village of Champs-sur-Yonne, near the market town of Auxerre, in Bourgogne, France.

The Moulin is unusual in that because it was once a mill, it is situated directly on the water, with a patio spanning the old raceway. You can sit out and have breakfast over the water, and then stroll out onto the Moulin's 1-acre island to watch the fish, ducks, and swans go by.

The River Yonne in this place is dotted with islands, from tiny hummocks with a tree or two to larger islands with houses on them. These islands, mostly wild, offer privacy, beauty, and the opportunity to explore the river for both adults and families.

Ten minutes away by car (bus or train are also readily available) is Auxerre, with shopping, restaurants, a cathedral and other historic sights.
